Please note, we cannot take HMO, HME, EPO, Tricare, Aetna, Multiplan, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Medicaid.

We have a medical team that handles hospital admissions at the Christus Santa Rosa Hospital. In case of emergency, they will have access to your medical history. We will be coordinating your care and post-discharge follow ups.

Depending on day/time/staff availability, not all calls can be answered. Fastest way to communicate is the Portal. If you need to talk to someone, please leave a voicemail. We handle most messages same day. When you leave a message, we can triage to medical or billing personnel who is most appropriate for your case and able to address your question(s) in a single callback. You may also review our Telephone Communication Policy.

Yes, we encourage patients to use our secure patient portal where you can review your information, view visit summaries, review lab results, send and receive messages to your doctor, and much more. You will be provided access information during your visit.

To ensure a streamlined check-in process, we kindly request that you bring identification and insurance card(s). We also recommend completing new patient paperwork prior to your visit, available for download: New Patient Forms. If you prefer to complete the forms at our office, please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time.
Your initial visit will not be an annual. It is an important initial step establishing your medical history and developing a personalized treatment plan. Unlike annual, initial visit may have copay and deductible per your insurance policy. At the initial visit, provider will order labs. Labs may be completed at the same time, if you come fasting. Please inform us ahead of time if you are planning to take labs same day. You may have the labs done at lab of your choice, see the next section for details.

Yes, we do labs in the office. Please note, you may also have labs done at a lab preferred by your insurance. Preferred lab may have better availability be located close to your home or work and typically has no co-pay.


Stella Koretsky, M.D.

Diplomate American Board of Family Medicine

Dr. Koretsky graduated from the State Medical and Pharmaceutical University named after Nicolae Testimitianu, Moldova (former USSR). Prior to her relocation to the U.S., she was working as a rheumatologist. She completed three years of training in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. She enjoys exercising and spending time with family. She speaks English, Russian, and Romanian.

Dr. Koretsky is also serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio at the Department of Family and Community Medicine.
